UW World Languages Day expands horizons for local high school students

Event:               UW World Languages Day

UW World Languages Day introduces more than 1200 high school students to a wonderful diversity of cultures across the globe.

Activities include language mini-lessons plus history, dance, music, art, and more. Students will also learn about careers using world languages.

Highlights:

• Language mini-lessons in Farsi, Romanian, Tagalog, and more
• Sohoyini West African Dance performance
• World Affairs Council Global Trivia Youth Competition
• German Hip Hop compared to American Hip Hop style
• The story of Esperanto
• Performances of traditional Japanese music, poetry, and storytelling
