At UW Educational Outreach, our core business is built around providing support to four main groups of programs: UW Extension certificates, self-sustaining degrees, UW Summer Quarter and English language programs.

UW Extension: Reach Your Goals
UW Extension offers more than 100 certificate programs that are available in the evenings, weekends or online. Last year, UW Extension helped nearly 3,000 people achieve their personal, professional and educational goals. Every certificate program receives UW departmental approval; to date, 37 UW departments have worked with us to develop certificate programs.

Degrees: Partnering For Success
UW Educational Outreach works with 10 schools to help support 30 graduate degrees and five undergraduate degrees. When launching a new degree program or transitioning a state-funded program to a self-sustaining model, our university partners work with a cross-departmental team of UW Educational Outreach experts to ensure the program is a success.

Summer Quarter: Second-Largest In Nation
Each year, new classes are added to the Summer Quarter schedule, including many that aren't offered during any other time of the academic year. A lot of hard work goes into coordinating Summer Quarter with our university partners and the hard work has paid off: UW's Summer Quarter is the second-largest in the nation.

International Educational Outreach: A Global Education
International Educational Outreach helps bring the world to the university through certificate programs, intensive programs and courses created for non-native English speakers. Last year, International Educational Outreach hosted more than 2,000 students from 39 countries, with the majority coming from Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
