Syllabus Header

You can use the syllabus header for announcements or other information for the whole class. This ensures that everyone gets the same message every time they log in to the course. Many students appreciate this form of communication as a favorable alternative to what they may see as bothersome or intrusive—an e-mail message from the instructor.

How To

To post a message to your students that will appear at the top of the syllabus, log on to MyUW Class (instructor view) and click the "Edit" button located below and to the right of "Syllabus Header Message." You will reach a screen where you can type in your message. You can delete or edit your messages at any time during the course.

Note: To leave spaces between paragraphs in your message, type

.
