In general, the registration, fee payment, and grading requirements of special-date courses are dependent on whether the course is identified as an a-, b- or full-term course. The following information applies to courses that begin or end on dates other than the standard dates for a, b or full term:
Late registration fees: A $25 late registration fee will be assessed if you register on or after the first day of the course.
Drop/add fee: A $20 drop/add change fee will be assessed for either dropping or adding a special-date course beginning the second day of the course.
Tuition refunds: A full refund is possible if you drop a course no later than the first day of course instruction. One-half refund is possible if you drop a course before 40 percent of the class is completed. No refunds will be issued if you drop a course after 40 percent of the class is completed.
Grading: If you drop a course by the first day of instruction, no grade will be recorded and no entry will be made on your record. You may drop a course before the first 40 percent of class is completed; an entry of "W" will be made on your transcript. Drops are not permitted after 40 percent of the course has been completed except for a complete withdrawal from the quarter. No drops of any kind are permitted on the last day of course.
