The new online Master of Aerospace Engineering in Composite Materials and Structures, offered by the UW Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, provides a convenient way for working professionals who wish to expand their knowledge in new areas of composite materials and structures to earn an advanced degree in engineering.
The only difference between the campus and online programs is that as a student in the online program, you'll be able to take classes anytime, from anywhere. The curriculum and instructors are identical for campus and online courses, so you'll earn the same degree and have access to the same UW faculty as students on campus.
The online program is offered using the technology of Education at a Distance for Growth and Excellence (EDGE). Through EDGE, on-campus courses are streamed on the Web and recorded for videotape and CD-ROM. You can choose one of these three methods to take your class.
You can complete the new online Master's of Aerospace Engineering in Composite Materials and Structures (MAE-CMS) in a time and place that fits your professional and personal schedule, with full- and part-time options. Courses follow the standard academic calendar, and students are admitted three times a year (in Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters). For more information, see Application Deadlines.
