The UW Oral Health Collaborative is the outreach component of the Dental Hygiene Program. It brings oral health education and preventive dentistry services to rural and underserved communities in partnership with local health coalitions, school districts, hospitals, social and health service agencies, and higher education institutions. Goals: to disseminate proven scientific knowledge about dental disease prevention and oral health promotion and to work directly with community-based programs that deliver preventive dentistry services to children and their families. |
