GEM is a special project of GEM Exchange. The UW Information School is a collaborator on the GEM Project as well as other projects of the Exchange. GEM has created The Gateway <www.thegateway.org>, a free, searchable database of educational resources on the web. GEM developed and uses metadata standards to catalog and organize free educational resources, making it easy to find and access them.<P>
