As an IAL student you will attend class for an eight-week summer intensive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, on the UW Seattle campus. During the academic year that immediately follows this summer period, you will return to campus for the academic year curriculum consisting of one extended weekend each quarter during the year. In between extended weekends, you'll continue your learning, guided by online suggestions, discussion of readings and feedback from instructors and classmates. Also during the academic year, you will complete one online course and gain real world experience fulfilling Career Rotations and internships across a broad field of functional areas. The culminating project will be the development of the Professional Learning Portfolio that you will develop and refine throughout the academic year.
Individuals starting the program in June 2008 can expect to complete the coursework and earn the degree by June 2009.
