EARNING THE DEGREE
This one-year program develops the skills you need to understand how higher education and athletics coexist. Twelve courses (48 credits) cover cutting-edge information in business, financial management, strategic planning, ethics, research and leadership.

To earn the master's degree, you will participate in an eight-week, 24 credit, intensive summer term and return to campus once a quarter to participate in extended weekend sessions with your cohort during the academic year to complete the remaining 24 credits. In between extended weekends, you'll continue project work, guided by online suggestions, discussion of readings and feedback from instructors and classmates throughout the year.

Individuals starting the program in June 2008 can expect to complete the coursework and earn the degree by June 2009. Successful completion of all courses, and passage of a comprehensive examination are required to earn the degree. No thesis is required.
