In the arena of college athletics, athletic administration is just as competitive and demanding as the action on the playing field. To prepare you to meet the challenges unique to leading in this venue, the University of Washington has developed the Master of Education in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership (IAL) degree program.

Unlike most sports management degrees, the IAL program prepares you for work in the exciting world of intercollegiate athletics. Designed with input from an advisory board of top national college athletic and academic administrators, the program's advanced leadership training deepens your understanding of the critical areas of college and university athletics' organizations. In addition, the program will equip you with a solid foundation in core business competencies, including financial management, strategic planning, public relations, marketing and fundraising. Because professional sports enjoy a unique and intimately linked relationship with college athletics, leaders from Seattle's professional teams are involved as guest speakers.
