There has been phenomenal growth in the number of nonprofit organizations in western Washington, and the need for educated nonprofit managers has never been greater. Volunteers and staff leaders are expected to build effective programs, manage people, steward resources, and maintain a healthy organization.
This nine-month program offers you intensive weekend training in the most important areas of nonprofit management, including:
- Leadership and management skills
- Strategic planning
- Financial management
- Fundraising
- Marketing
- Advocacy
- Ethics and governance
- Program development and evaluation
- Strategic use of technology
Courses involve the practical application of concepts to each participant's organization, through the use of case studies, team exercises, and projects.
This program is designed for professionals seeking career advancement in nonprofit organizations, board members and volunteers seeking additional skills, or those in private industry or government jobs exploring the possibility of a new career in nonprofit management.
