Do you want to take your music to the next level both artistically and commercially? Do you want to take full advantage of the latest technologies and become more self-sufficient while continuing to grow as an artist? In this program, you will not only learn how to improve your songwriting and performance skills but you will also gain a better understanding of the music industry, including contracts, band negotiations, touring, professional recording, distribution and marketing. You will also learn about the latest technologies and online marketing techniques (including self-starting platforms such as YouTube and MySpace).
Throughout the program students will work on their own musical projects and will get professional critiques of their work. At the end of the program students will produce a polished recording and participate in a public performance.
Is This Program Right for You?
This program is designed for musicians who already have basic skills in vocal or instrumental technique and songwriting but want to reach a wider audience by performing publicly and/or recording and distributing their music.
