Carolyn Gellermann
Leadership and Organizational Development Consultant and Author
Gellermann is an expert in collaborative planning, cooperative problem solving and conflict resolution. She has developed and taught strategic leadership programs at REI, UW Medical Centers and has done consulting for leading organizations around the world. She has co-authored articles and worked on Third Side Negotiation Practice projects with William Ury, author of Getting to Yes. Her work centers on dealing cooperatively and constructively with our differences and transforming them into creative, fair and productive agreements that bring about lasting benefit to stakeholders. Gellermann holds Master Degrees in both Organizational Development and English Literature.
Herbert (Herbie) Louis Hoffman III
Project Leader, The Boeing Company
Hoffman has achieved distinction leading teams as military officer, an engineer and as a college soccer coach. In Desert Storm, Hoffman successfully led a team of ninety soldiers who had never worked together before. A West Point graduate, his military leadership awards include the Bronze Star and Ranger Tab. At Boeing, Hoffman continues to lead teams of up to twenty engineers from various disciplines. His team's efforts have resulted in numerous patents to include Boeing's Special Invention of the Year Award in 2005. Hoffman served as a men's assistant soccer coach at Seattle University from 1998-2005 where the team went undefeated and won a National Championship in 2004. In 2008, he earned his Ph. D. in leadership from the UW.
E. Arthur Self
Director and VP, Rosetta Solutions
Arthur Self has served in a range of leadership positions over his career. He has been the president of two institutions of higher learning: Malone College of Canton, Ohio, and Seattle Pacific University. Most recently has served as the Dean of the School of Business at Northwest University. Self has performed as a business strategist and confidant to investors, senior management, and scores of start-up and early-stage companies. Self completed a strategic analysis of firms such as Jaguar Motors, Lloyd's of London, The Organization for Cooperative Economic Development, Ducati Motorcycles and Ferrari. He holds a Ph.D. with concentrations in Administration and Leadership from Michigan State University.

John Dresel
Former President and CEO of Tully's Coffee Corporation
Dresel has over twenty years of experience in an executive capacity, including positions as President of Tully's; President of the Seattle SuperSonics business operations; President of the Ackerley Group, which operates 18 TV stations; and General Manager of a major-market radio station group. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Puget Sound and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington.
John Morefield
Leadership and Organizational Development Consultant
Morefield has served more than 35 years in public education as a teacher, counselor, school principal (for 20 years), and area director, all within multicultural communities in Seattle, Washington. As a consultant, he deals extensively with educational leadership issues to bring about educational justice for all students, particularly for students of color and those students living in poverty. He teaches in the Danforth Leadership Preparation Program at the UW. He is a retreat facilitator in The Courage & Renewal Program and runs retreats particularly for leaders. In the 2003-04, he and his wife lived in Cambodia where he provided intense leadership training for 65 Cambodian school principals. He continues to provide leadership training and consulting in Cambodia and locally to schools, districts and other organizations.
Sabina Nawaz
Leadership Development Consultant, Executive Coach
Nawaz works with leaders and organizations that are very successful, yet, find themselves being held back from delivering fully on their winning strategies due to the lack of leadership team depth or breadth. Through offering coaching, custom leadership program development and accessment of organizational culture trends, Nawaz helps these organizations better execute and acheive their potential. Nawaz's clients include Microsoft, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. Prior to starting her own business in 2005, Nawaz spent 15 years at Microsoft, first in software development and then in Human Resources. As Senior Director of Leadership, Management, Employee Development and then of Succession Planning, she launched several worldwide programs to help identify and cultivate Microsoft’s current and future leaders.
Kurt C. O'Brien
Manager of Training and Organizational Development, UW Medical Center
O'Brien leads a team of professionals to develop leadership and teamwork at the world reknown UW Medical Center. He specializes in the areas of leadership development and coaching, interpersonal skills development, team development, and conflict resolution. Additionally, he designs and conducts workshops on topics such as Dialogue, Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Resolution and Appreciative Inquiry. He also teaches courses in Group Dynamics and Team Leadership for the University of Washington's Master's in Healthcare Administration program. Kurt has a Master's degree in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco, and a B.S. in Management from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Gary Wright
Vice President/Administration, Seattle Seahawks
Wright, who originally joined the Seahawks in 1976 as director of publicity, is now in his 32nd season with the Seahawks and in his 20th season as a vice president. After serving as Vice President/Administration and Public Relations since 1992, he was appointed to his current position in June 1995. Prior to that, Wright also served as public relations director and assisted the league's media relations staff at 20 Super Bowls. He spent two seasons prior to joining the Seahawks as the publicity director for Southern California Sun of the World Football League and as league publicity director. He also served as vice president of operations for the Phoenix Racquets of World Team Tennis. Wright was the sports information director at Long Beach State University and coached football and basketball while teaching history and journalism in high school after graduating from Long Beach State.
