Make sure that ELAP 150 is the best course for you. The suggested level is 5, based on levels from the University of Washington Online English Language Self-Placement Test (UWOELST). You will receive a score and an immediate level placement. You should then preview the course (Sample ELAP 150 Lessons) to make sure that the suggested level of English is appropriate. You may take courses at a higher level than your test score, but keep in mind that this may make it more difficult for you to complete the course.

• Do you have regular access to a computer with a modem?

If you answered "yes" to most of these questions, online learning is probably suitable for you. If you answered "no" to most of these questions, online distance learning may not be right for you.
