Course Details
The Business English Internship Class is offered over two quarters. In the first quarter, you will take part in a prepartion seminar. During the second quarter, you participate in an internship with a local company.

Q: Will I be able to choose my company?

No, but you can do your own research and make suggestions to the internship coordinator.

Q: What kind of work or tasks will I do during my business English internship?
A:
It depends. In addition to interacting with people in the company and practicing your English, you might have the opportunity to provide input on company projects or help with everyday activities. Some of your duties may include routine office tasks.

Q: Do I have to take BUSIP, IBEP, FPM or ETH to participate in the internship class?
A:
Yes, you must complete and pass IBEP, BUSIP, FPM or ETH to be eligible to take the Internship Class. If you have already taken one these classes, you don't need to take them again.

Q: During the first quarter, do I have to take a full load of classes?
A:
Yes, because you are on a student visa, you must take IBEP, BUSIP, ETH or classes on campus that equal a full load. If it is your official break quarter, then you can take the seminar class only.

Q: What are the attendance requirements for the internship class?
A:
The attendance requirements for the Internship class are very strict. You must be a reliable intern for the company you are assigned to, and you must attend the weekly seminar class.
