Admission
It is very important that you follow the application process carefully to ensure that you have secured a place in this summer's program. Please call us with any questions you may have about your application. We will continue to accept applications until the program is full (typically early June) but priority will be given to early applicants.
Follow these steps to apply:
- Download and complete the application form.
- In your application packet, include the following required items:
- a nonrefundable application fee of $50
- a copy of your TOEFL score report
- your letter of financial guarantee and/or sponsorship
- a copy of your graduate program acceptance letter
- a copy of the passport page that includes the name and photo of you and all accompanying dependents
- a 500 word personal statement answering the questions "What is your career and education background?" and "What do you hope to gain from the AAPS program experience?"
Please apply early to allow for possible delays in getting your visa.
We advise all applicants to request EXPRESS mail delivery for overseas
mailings. To receive your I-20 by express mail, please include a
$40 (US) additional fee. You must include a working phone number.

It usually takes ten days to process a AAPS application. Then, we will send you a Visa Eligibility Form (I-20).
- After you receive the Visa Eligibility From (I-20), contact the nearest US Embassy or Consulate to schedule an F-1 visa interview appointment.
- Pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee ($200).
- Take your I-20 and supporting documents to the interview.
Please Note: Admission to AAPS does not mean you are accepted to the University of Washington.
