Meal Options
This meal information pertains to all IELP students living in residence halls. To get specific residence hall information for your program, return to the program list.

On Campus
Residence halls (dormitories) are conveniently located on campus and have dining halls open to the public for meals. For those living in the residence halls, there are several meal plan options. In addition to several full-size dining halls, there are cafeterias, cafes, espresso bars, and convenience stores around campus. Payment for purchases may be made in most locations with a student card (Husky Card), which is used as a debit card, or with cash. Some students consider the Husky Card to be more convenient than carrying cash.

Off Campus
University Way, or the "Ave", located on the west side of campus, is a street filled with local stores and restaurants. These restaurants are affordable and offer a variety of types of food, such as Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Greek, Italian and Mediterranean restaurants. There are also pizza, ice cream and sandwich shops, cafes, bakeries, a pancake house, and produce and seafood markets.

On the other side of campus, about a 10-minute walk east, is a collection of stores and restaurants known as University Village. These tend to be a little more expensive than the restaurants found on the Ave. There are Italian, Mexican, and Thai restaurants as well as bakeries, dessert stores, a pizza shop, coffee shops and full-service restaurants.
