You don't have to complete a separate application to enroll in an Early Fall Start course. All students should follow the registration instructions on this page. New UW students must have submitted their New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee indicating their intention to attend the UW in autumn quarter before they are eligible to register.
Registering for an Early Fall Start Course
Register for a College Writing Prep course in the College Writing Prep section of this website. Registration occurs on a first-come first-served basis. Registration deadline is August 22nd, 5:00pm PST.
Important: Once your registration is complete, you can confirm your enrollment by visiting MyUW. It may take several days for your EFS course to show up on MyUW. You will also need your UWNet ID to access MyUW. You received information on how to obtain your UWNet ID in your UW acceptance materials. If you have forgotten your UWNetID or have any questions, click here.
Register for a Discovery Seminar in the Discovery Seminars section of this Web site.
Course and Time Changes
Last minute changes in course times and locations are always possible, so you should check this Web site for the latest information about your course before you show up for the first day of class on August 27. Also check your email for additional information.
As a new freshman, you can register for your Early Fall Start course before your Advising and Orientation date for autumn quarter but you must wait until that date to register for the rest of your autumn quarter schedule.
Changing to the Satisfactory/Non-Satisfactory Grading Option
The deadline for changing your EFS course to S/NS grading is the third Friday of the course. No changes to S/NS will be allowed after that time. Please email UWEOreg@pce.uw.edu to request a grading change. Include your full name and student ID number.
