HOW TO APPLY

Application Prerequisites
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a science discipline, health sciences, engineering or law
• One-to-three years of professional experience in the medical products industry desired
• Previous course work in basic statistics and/or writing desired

International Applicants
An international student is defined as any person who is not a U.S. citizen and does not hold a U.S. Permanent Resident Visa. The definition of an international student also includes those who hold U.S. visas, such as an F-1 visa, exchange visitors, and other non-immigrant classifications.

Due to the extra time required to process international applications, it is recommended that international student applicants submit their application and transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admissions as soon as possible.

International applicants must submit additional required materials to the Graduate School.


English Proficiency
The UW Graduate School has English language requirements for all non-native English speakers (i.e., permanent residents and international students.)

UW Graduate School Application To begin the application process, go to the UW Graduate School Online Application. All application materials must be submitted electronically through the MyGrad Application Database.

Graduate School Application Instructions:

1. When submitting the online Graduate School application form, you will be asked to create an account.
2. Once you have created an account, you will be asked to select the graduate program to which you are applying. You must select “Biomedical Regulatory Affairs (MS)” as your choice in the pull-down menu.
3. In addition to completing the required biographical information, please upload the following materials:
1. Current résumé/CV
2. Goal statement/personal statement
3. Contact information for three references who we may contact to assess your likelihood of success in our program
4. Upload scanned transcripts from each college and/or university where you have earned academic credit. (Scans can be of either official or unofficial transcripts.)
5. After all information and materials have been provided, pay the fee and submit your application.
6. When your application has been received you will receive a confirmation email from our program for your records.

Important note: All of the above application materials must be received before the admissions committee will review your application.

Biomedical Regulatory Affairs Supplemental Application Materials All application materials must be submitted directly through the MyGrad application database. Please, do not send materials directly to our office.

Waivers
All students must satisfy a minimum of 45 credits in approved courses to graduate. Students who have completed either the UW Biomedical Regulatory Affairs or Clinical Trials certificates courses prior to entering the program may petition to waive repeating them for academic credit. Equivalent credits may be taken in approved electives or independent study

Waiver requests will be assessed on an individual basis by the program director.
