inSPIRE

Students Presenting International Research Experiences

Department of Psychology

Description: UW-inSPIRE is a UW outreach program for local schools (K-12). University of Washington graduate and undergraduate students will share their international study abroad and research experiences via PowerPoint presentations with children in local schools. Presentations include discussion of their research activities, the unique environments, wildlife, conservation concerns, as well as discussing aspects of the cultures and promoting the need for respect and tolerance of different ways and beliefs. Our University students are in an excellent position to serve as role models for our up and coming 'young scientists.' A program such as UW-inSPIRE helps make this a reality. UW-inSPIRE was established in 2003
