NWABR has an active educational program that offers a number of tools for teachers:
As part of the UW program, "Making Connections, Making Choices Program," NWABR has a Speakers' Bureau of researchers and patients who present on a wide range of topics to classrooms and community groups;
Exemplary instructional materials for teachers statewide to generate enthusiasm for science and science careers and build awareness of the vital role of animals in biomedical research.
An annual "Biomedical Breakthroughs" essay, poster and web site contest for middle school students;
